FUNERALS

The clergy are available to offer bereavement support and advise you on funeral plans.

We are able to conduct funerals for anyone who lived in our parishes or had a strong connection with our churches. Funerals can take place in one of the churches followed by either burial in the churchyard or cremation. Alternatively we can conduct the funeral at a Crematorium or at a Cemetery. Our churchyards are also available for internment of ashes.

You are advised to contact a Funeral Director as soon as possible.

We will meet with you to design the funeral service with you so that it reflects the things that matter to you and your family. We will conduct the service in a sensitive and supportive way in accordance with your needs. We are happy to help you select readings and music for the funeral, and we can help you to prepare a tribute or eulogy if you wish. More information about planning a funeral can be found at: Church of England Guidance – Planning a Funeral and Church of England Guidance – Pastoral Care – Funerals

Orders of Service – We can provide personalised Orders of Service including a photograph of the deceased if you wish for a small fee (from £25).

Fees – Fees for funerals are nationally set and annually revised. The latest fee chart may be found at Church of England Guidance – Funerals and Fees
